EXPOSITION TEXT
Definition
Exposition is a form of writing that explains what’s happening or has happened in the story in a very matter-of-fact way. Exposition may present background information of the plot or characters, explain details about the setting, convey a sense of the historical context, and so on.
Analytical Exposition Text is an argumentative text presenting the writer's opinion, which are backed by logical supporting ideas. The purpose of analytical exposition text is to persuade and convince the reader that their idea is important by developing arguments to support it.
Generic Structure Analytical Exposition Text
- Thesis
- Introducing the topic and indicating the writer's point of view.
- Arguments
- Explaining the argument to support the writer's position. The number of arguments may vary, but each argument must be supported by evidence and explanation.
- Reiteration
- Restating the writer's point of view/ to strengthen the thesis. We can use the following phrase to make a conclusion in reiteration.

- Using internal conjunction
- Using causal conjunction
- Using Simple Present Tense
- Using compound and complex sentence.
- Use word that link argument, such as firstly, secondly, and reasoning through causal conjunction, such as in addition, furthermore, however, therefore.

Today around us we can see a wave of change, which is people choosing to use stainless steel instead of plastic straws. This change is mainly due to the environmental changes the world is going through. With the rising heat and melting ice caps, the weather has begun to change drastically and it is affecting everything in our world. It is all because of the generations of greenhouse gases and the fact that plastic is not degradable. However, instead of plastic, there is a feasible replacement that is good for the environment, stainless steel straw. This material also holds many other benefits that can make your life easier and simpler. There are another three main reasons why you have to use stainless steel straw.
First, it is perfectly safe to use. According to Isfoundation, plastic straws contain BisphenolA or BPA. BPA is a harmful chemical found in plastics that can lead to a number of reproductive disorders and other conditions, such as diabetes and heart disease. Unlike plastic products, stainless steel straws are perfectly safe to use and BPA free.
Second, stainless straw is reusable and easy to clean. Stainless steel straws are reusable and can last for ages if you clean them properly. Cleaning a stainless steel straw is as easy as it could be. You just need the cleaning brush to ensure that every inch of the straw remains spick and span.
Third, stainless steel straws allow you to enjoy your drinks for longer periods. It can make cold beverages taste even colder because steel can retain the temperature of your drink and prevents it from melting down.
In conclusion, it is obvious that you have to use stainless steel straw because it’s environmentally friendly and also safe, reusable, easy to clean, and last longer than any other plastic straw.
